Job description
Imalink is looking for a driven Application Support System Engineer who is part of the Application Team. You are the link between development and operations for the internally developed applications in both acceptance as well as production environments. You also manage critical middleware components and core applications.
Your responsibilities
- Implementation & updates of internally developed applications (mainly Windows IIS & MS SQL-based) in acceptance and production environments
- Architecture assistance for application servers: analyse requirements, design installation plans and deploy new applications
- Second-line support
- Support for middleware such as RabbitMQ and Redis Cache
- Setting up and maintaining operational and installation documentation
Your profile
- Experience: recent hands-on support of applications on Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Server 2012-2022
- Scripting & tooling: sophisticated knowledge of PowerShell
- Network & security: knowledge of firewalls and security configurations
- Databases: experience with MS SQL; knowledge of MongoDB and Redis Cache is a plus
- Soft skills: problem-solving, communicatively strong and customer-oriented
