About the job
Are you an experienced IT Workplace Support Engineer who gets energy from a hands-on technical environment? At Imalink, we are looking for a professional to help prepare, install and support IT workplaces at our client in the Ghent region.
You will join the Workplace Operations team, where you will play a key role in the entire process of installation, delivery, support and troubleshooting. You will work both in an office environment and on the production site, ensuring that end-users can rely on stable, secure and correctly functioning IT resources.
Your responsibilities
- Installing and configuring IT equipment such as PCs, laptops, screens, printers, smartphones and other peripherals
- Preparation, delivery and on-site installation of workstations in both office and industrial environments
- Analysing and resolving hardware and software incidents
- Performing hardware interventions and replacing faulty devices or components
- Supporting end users in a customer-oriented and solution-oriented way
- Correctly following up, recording and documenting tickets, interventions and administrative processes
- Participate in the smooth and safe operation of the workplace environment
Your profile
- At least 2 years' experience in an IT support role or as an IT Workplace Support Engineer
- Thorough knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Good knowledge of hardware, troubleshooting and workplace support
- Basic knowledge of networks and server environments
- Experience with on-site support and installation of IT equipment
- Strong analytical skills and a structured approach
- Communicative, customer-oriented and professional in your contacts
- Team player who also takes responsibility independently
- Eye for safety, quality and proper follow-up
- Eager to learn, flexible and driven to meet deadlines
